Frenchman Mathieu Faivre became on Tuesday the first world champion in history in individual parallel at the Alpine Skiing World Championships in Cortina d'Ampezzo (Italy).

Faivre, winner of the Croatian Filip Zubcic in the final, offers France its 4th medal of its Worlds after Tessa Worley's bronze in the girls' race, and the two medals (bronze and silver) from Alexis Pinturault.
