Erfurt (dpa / th) - CDU state parliamentary group leader Mario Voigt can imagine easing the corona restrictions in gastronomy and tourism at Easter.
"If the numbers are correct, gastronomic and tourist relaxation at Easter does not have to be canceled," Voigt said in a statement on Monday.
"The progress in lowering the incidence values is encouraging and should soon bring more freedom and normalcy."
People need hope and confidence, this is what Easter stands for for many.
The CDU Prime Minister of Saxony, Michael Kretschmer, had started a debate on easing and traveling at Easter on the weekend.
Kretschmer had said that there could be no Easter holiday in Germany this year.
Schleswig-Holstein's Prime Minister Daniel Günther (CDU), on the other hand, considers domestic Easter holidays to be possible despite the corona pandemic, as he said on Monday.
Along with Thuringia, Saxony was for a long time the most severely affected state by the corona pandemic.
Thuringia continues to be.
The number of new corona infections per 100,000 inhabitants within seven days rose above the 100 mark on Monday.
According to the State Chancellery, the value was 101.7.
At the weekend this value had meanwhile dropped below the 100 mark.
