In 30 years, a cold wave hit southern Texas, the US, which maintains temperatures close to 10 degrees in winter, and the temperature dropped by 20 degrees to -18 degrees Celsius.

With winter storm warnings issued in 25 states, from Maine in the northeastern United States to southern Texas, 150 million people were affected by the cold wave.



An emergency has been declared in seven states in the south-central region, including Louisiana and Alabama.



Traffic accidents followed as heavy snow fell in the southern part of the United States, where it usually does not snow much.



In Texas, there were more than 130 collisions of cars that slipped on snowy roads last night (15th), and there were 21 crashes in Nashville, Tennessee.



The U.S. Meteorological Administration explained that the Arctic cold wave, which usually only stays in the northern part of the United States, has pushed down to the southern regions this year, causing a record cold wave.
