Berlin / Potsdam (dpa / bb) - After a frosty start to the week, the snow in Berlin and Brandenburg turns into rain on Tuesday.

As the German Weather Service (DWD) announced on Monday morning, severe frosts can still be expected on Monday morning at temperatures of up to minus twenty degrees in the south of Brandenburg.

During the day it could snow from the Prignitz to the Elster.

There may be slipperiness locally.

Towards evening snow and slippery snow spread to the Oder.

On Tuesday morning, the snow turns into rain at temperatures between two and six degrees.

According to the DWD meteorologists, there is locally black ice.

According to the forecast, the sky over Berlin and Brandenburg rarely loosens in the afternoon, but it remains dry.

Also on Wednesday it should be cloudy and dry.

The temperatures then rise to eight degrees.
