The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle, have announced that they are expecting their second child.

Queen Elizabeth's tenth great-grandchild but the first to be born overseas.

Away from the royal family, the princely couple has been living in California for eight months.

Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle announced that they were expecting a second child this Sunday.

This baby will be Queen Elizabeth II's tenth great-grandchild, but he could be the first to be born abroad.

Indeed, the princely couple has withdrawn from the royal family since April 2020 and has been living in California for eight months.

A desire for independence, including financial, motivated in particular by the media pressure suffered by the young couple, already parents of a little Archie, two years old.

A nod to Diana 

The British press did not fail to raise the wink of the date of this news, communicated on Valentine's Day.

About 36 years ago, Princess Diana also announced on Lover's Day that she was pregnant with her second child, Prince Harry.

Queen Elizabeth II and her husband Prince Philip, of whom Harry is the grandson, her father Prince Charles and "the whole royal family" are "delighted and send them their best wishes for happiness", according to a spokesperson for Buckingham Palace.
