After former President Donald Trump was acquitted of suing on Saturday, support for an independent investigation seems to have strengthened, both among Democrats and Republicans.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi wants the "facts and causes" behind the storming of the Capitolium Parliament building on 6 January to be investigated by an independent commission.
She wants to see an investigation similar to the one following the terrorist attack on the United States on September 11, 2001.
Nancy Pelosi also announces that the House of Representatives will add extra funds to increase security at the Capitolium.
