On February 13, local time, the U.S. Senate, which is responsible for hearing the impeachment of former U.S. President Trump, voted to reject the impeachment clause against Trump for "sedition", and Trump has not been convicted.

In the afternoon of the same day, the U.S. Senate voted 43 votes to be innocent and 57 votes to be guilty and found that the impeachment clause accusing Trump of "sedition" was not valid.

Trump has not been convicted, and the reasons for the impeachment trial are now over.

The US Constitution stipulates that more than two-thirds of the votes in the Senate trial, that is, at least 67 votes, can be used to convict the president.

The impeachment trial lasted 5 days. It was the shortest presidential impeachment trial in U.S. history and the only impeachment trial against a former president.

Trump has also become the only (former) president in American history who has been impeached twice and convicted twice as innocent.
