Martin, Clara and their friends therefore do not go unnoticed.

Students in Angers, they decided to take their lessons on their computer from Barcelona, ​​where they rented an apartment thanks to Airbnb.

Here, with less drastic health restrictions than in France, they have the impression of coming back to life.

"You can go out, the bars and restaurants are open. In France, it's not the same atmosphere."

"We wanted to see something else"

Despite more worrying figures than in France, with 500 deaths per day on average and an incidence rate on the rise, bars and restaurants are again open in Spain.

In Barcelona, ​​the curfew does not start until 10 p.m.

In addition to catering, all cultural venues are open.

Attracted by this newfound freedom, many French people have found refuge there in recent weeks.

"We spent a somewhat complicated year, we really wanted to see something else. We find a bit of a normal life," explains Martin.

With the school holidays, cars registered in France are even more numerous and the flights are full.

But tourism worries the Spaniards, who fear a resumption of the epidemic.

Martin is aware of this.

"It is not easy because we are torn between staying in France and enduring the situation, and seeing Spain as an El Dorado. Obviously, we do not come at all to create a mess in the city. more than here the fines are much higher than in France. "

Several dozen French people have also been fined for illegal parties in tourist apartments in Madrid and in holiday homes in Catalonia.
