Berlin (dpa / bb) - Unknown people set fire to several cars in Berlin.
On Sunday evening, a car burned in Donaustraße in the Neukölln district, as the police announced.
Police officers smothered the flames that had spread to a car parked next to it before the fire brigade also put out the main fire.
Another car burned on Monday night on Erkelenzdamm in Kreuzberg.
The vehicle was totaled - here, too, the fire severely damaged a car parked next to it.
Nobody was injured in the fires, damage estimates were not yet available on Monday.
A fire commissioner from the State Criminal Police Office has started investigations into the fire in Neukölln.
Since there are indications of a political motive in the fire in Kreuzberg, the state security is investigating there.
