Sandhausen (dpa) - Second division soccer club SV Sandhausen parted ways with coach Michael Schiele after less than three months.

The third from last responded to the ongoing sporting crisis on Monday evening.

Ex-professional Stefan Kulovits and Gerhard Kleppinger will look after the team on an interim basis.

"The necessary results and sense of achievement did not materialize, especially in the past games," said SVS President Jürgen Machmeier in a club announcement.

"For SV Sandhausen it is now important to set the course for relegation in the 2nd division with a new impulse in a difficult season."

Schiele has been a trainer for the Palatinate since November 26, 2020.

Since then, there have been three wins, one draw and nine defeats in the league.

Last weekend, SVS lost 3-2 to Karlsruher SC after a 2-0 lead.

Co-trainer Matthias Lust was also released.

As a possible successor to Schiele, the former Sandhausen coach Alois Schwartz has recently been traded again and again.
