More than 200 people have been identified after the violent storming of the US Congress on January 6, which claimed the lives of five people.

One group that was at the center of the action in the Capitol was the Proud Boys, a right-wing extremist group with branches across the country, which received attention when Donald Trump mentioned them in a presidential election debate.

Mollie Saltskog works for The Soufan group, which collects and analyzes intelligence information about, among other things, terrorist networks and right-wing extremist groups.

She says that Proud Boys' supporters increase exponentially when they commit violent actions.

- Just a week after the storming of the Capitol, encrypted online channels affiliated with Proud Boys had increased by up to 70 percent, she says in Aktuellt.
