Magdeburg (AP) - In the handball Bundesliga, SC Magdeburg has built on its series from before the World Cup break, but has found it very difficult.

The SCM won against GWD Minden on Sunday with 29:28 (16:17).

The green-reds' best thrower was Omar Magnusson (11/9), Doruk Pehlivan (6) scored the most for Minden.

The SCM practically only lagged behind in the first half (2: 3/4.).

Magdeburg was able to turn the game around briefly, but Minden came back and led with two goals (6: 8/13.).

The SCM countered that (11: 9/19.), But went into the break with a narrow gap.

Minden was very variable with five players with three hits each.

Magdeburg came out of the break focused, wanted to correct the deficit quickly, but only succeeded in the meantime (18: 17/33.).

The SCM offensive was too flawed, so that Minden kept getting easy goals.

Only a longer shortfall of the guests led to a Magdeburg leadership with two goals (26: 24/50.).

After the final siren, Minden rejected a direct free throw, it remained a home win.
