Potsdam (dpa / bb) - For the first time in over a week, a district in Brandenburg has exceeded the mark of 200 new corona infections per 100,000 inhabitants in one week.

In the Prignitz, the value on Sunday was just under 201, as the Ministry of Health announced.

Most recently, the Spree-Neisse district exceeded the mark on February 5 with a level of 259.

On this Monday, new corona rules come into force.

If the seven-day incidence rises above a value of 200, rural districts and urban districts can take their own protective measures and close daycare centers, for example.

The number of new corona infections continues to decline in Brandenburg.

The health authorities reported 236 new infections, as the ministry announced on Sunday.

However, there were no new cases from the Elbe-Elster and Potsdam-Mittelmark districts or the city of Frankfurt (Oder).

A week ago, 276 new infections were added nationwide.

Around seven weeks after the start of the corona vaccinations, there have been almost 137,000 vaccinations against the virus so far.

These include around 81,600 first vaccinations and around 55,000 second vaccinations, said the Ministry of Health.

With the new rules, the outdoor facilities of zoos and animal parks will open again from Monday.

Counties and urban districts can order an alcohol ban on public streets and squares.

The Berlin-Brandenburg Higher Administrative Court had previously overturned a nationwide ban on alcohol in public spaces.

Primary schools in Brandenburg open again on February 22nd with alternating lessons between school and home.

Barbershop open on March 1st.

Otherwise, the hard lockdown will apply until at least March 7th.

Further openings should only be made if the seven-day incidence does not exceed 35 for several days.
