Berlin (dpa) - Schleswig-Holstein's Prime Minister Daniel Günther (CDU) has clearly criticized the corona decisions by the federal and state governments.

The federal government gave too few proposals for an opening strategy.

The committee “did not manage to create a perspective plan as many people expected from us,” he told the “world” (Monday).

In addition, it was not helpful to set a new target with the number of 35 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants within seven days.

"If we constantly have to decide and explain new things, like the number 35 as a new incidence target, then that irritates people more than it creates perspective."

He also criticized the lack of aid payments for companies affected by the corona lockdown.

"If there is any reason for the acceptance of the corona policy to decline so rapidly, especially in the economy, then it is certainly mainly due to the fact that promised compensation funds are still not flowing."

These delays cannot be explained to anyone.

"You cannot be excused either."

There are firm commitments that payments will begin in the coming days.

"But after all the experiences we have had so far, I now only measure the federal government on this point by its actions and not by its words."

In contrast to the Czech Republic and Austria, according to Günther, there should be no border controls in the north - such a step is not necessary on the border with Denmark.

There are strict rules on both sides and a constant exchange with the Danish authorities.

"That works well."

According to the latest federal-state resolutions, further openings by the states should only follow when a “stable” incidence of no more than 35 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants has been reached within seven days.

Then the retail trade, museums and galleries as well as businesses with body-friendly services should be able to reopen.

The federal and state governments want to discuss again on March 3rd.
