Vechta (dpa / lni) - The Basketball Löwen Braunschweig have won the Lower Saxony duel in the basketball Bundesliga.
At Rasta Vechta, bottom of the table, the lions won 80:71 (40:45) on Sunday evening.
The most successful throwers of the game were Josh Young (Vechta), Karim Jallow (Braunschweig) and Lukas Meisner (Braunschweig) with 16 points each.
Vechta suffered their fifth defeat in a row after the successful intermediate spurt at the beginning of the year.
The Lions, on the other hand, had to play four games in just eight days after all players were quarantined and won two of them including the victory in Vechta.
