February 13, 2021: At least three people died and eight others were injured following the explosion of the car bomb in the area of ​​the Somali Parliament in Mogadishu: the car blew up near a roadblock.

This is what is learned from security officers and witnesses on the spot, as reported by Ansa.



"The police were chasing the vehicle after identifying it a few kilometers from the site of the explosion - said a security official, Abdirahman Mohamed -. Three civilians have died according to the information we have received so far and eight others have been injured".   



Mohamed explained that the police opened fire on the vehicle "and this allowed many people to escape from the road. This really limited the number of casualties the explosion could have caused."
