From October to November last year, the Cabinet Office conducted the first opinion poll on the use of pharmacies among 3,000 people aged 18 and over nationwide, and received responses from 1944 people, or 65%.



According to this, 71.1% of the respondents answered that they "use" the "medicine notebook" that records the information of the prescribed medicine, and 28.6% answered that they do not use it.



When asked what kind of consultation to pharmacist when using a pharmacy, 49.1% answered "About medicines prescribed at hospitals and clinics" and 45.2% answered "About taking medicines". , "About over-the-counter drugs" was 17.2%.



Regarding whether the pharmacy and the pharmacist have decided on the family, 7.6% answered "I have decided", "I have decided on one pharmacy, but I have not decided on the pharmacist" 18.4%, "It is near the hospital or clinic “Go to a pharmacy” was 57.7%, and “I haven't decided in particular” was 13.7%.



Regarding the results, a person in charge of the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare said, "Determining a family pharmacy or pharmacist will lead to safer medication, so I would like to focus on enlightenment."
