A car had caught fire on Saturday afternoon near Holzkirchen (Miesbach district) for an initially unexplained cause.
The two occupants were able to save themselves from the car and were uninjured.
With the help of the local motorway maintenance depot in Holzkirchen, the risk of black ice was averted after a short time and traffic was diverted past the scene of the fire.
In the meantime, it jammed for two kilometers.
