They must be judged this Friday.

The investigators worked on this file for long weeks, in particular because of the number of people involved and the vast perimeter over which the trafficking extended.

According to the prosecution, five defendants were arrested on Tuesday in the municipalities of the Lille metropolis of Haubourdin, Loos and Mons-en-Barœul.

The searches that followed the arrests allowed the police to seize 276 g of heroin, 248 g of cocaine, 21.5 kg of cannabis and more than 90,000 euros in cash detailed the prosecutor of Lille.

It also emerged during the investigation that traffickers were using accommodation rented on the Airbnb platform to store merchandise.

Drug trafficking flooded the entire Lille metropolis, Flanders and the mining area.

The respondents had made up a file of nearly 300 clients.

The latter were notified by SMS when new products were available and all they had to do was order.

At the convenience of the customer, the products could be delivered at home or "at an agreed meeting point", explains the prosecution.

Of the five people arrested, four were referred to the prosecution after their custody.

They will be judged in immediate appearance, this Friday, at the Lille Criminal Court.
