Berlin (dpa / bb) - The Füchse Berlin are getting ready for a lot.
The capital club will play this Saturday (6.30 p.m. / Sky) in the handball Bundesliga with fourth-placed HC Erlangen.
The prerequisites are clear.
“You can't deny that we're going in there as favorites.
It must therefore be our aim to win there, ”said coach Jaron Siewert.
The Berliners arrive as second in the table with a lot of self-confidence and want the tenth victory in a row.
Last season, however, the Füchse clearly lost 29:35 against the Franks.
"We have been warned, especially since Erlangen has continued to improve since then," said Captain Paul Drux.
This season, too, “they have already produced one or two surprises,” stressed Drux.
The home-strong Franks have already clearly won against Leipzig and Melsungen.
"For us that means going where it hurts," said Siewert.
That is why the Berliners also have respect for the task.
"Erlangen is very compact, you have good physicality," said Drux.

"And we have to get to that level too," said Drux.

While the Füchse have already played two games after the World Cup break, it will be the premiere for Erlangen this year.
"We already have an advantage, even if the load was a little higher," said the Berlin coach.
The two opening wins also ensured a good mood.
However, Siewert warns against too much euphoria: “We have to classify that.

It is still unclear whether the coach can plan with Fabian Wiede.
The national player and his girlfriend are expecting their first child.
