Dresden (dpa / sn) - So far, around 116 million euros in November and 97 million euros in December aid have been paid out to companies affected by the lockdown and self-employed people in Saxony.

As the Ministry of Economic Affairs in Dresden announced on Friday, a total of almost 31,000 applications were received.

With the financial aid, companies are compensated by the state for lost sales if they had to close because of the corona measures ordered.

Most of the applicants received advance payments.

November aid can only be paid on behalf of the federal government since January 12th, until then only discounts were possible.

The December aid has been paid out in full since February 1st.

According to the ministry, half of the more than 14,500 inquiries have been finally processed there - with Novemberhilfe it is almost 80 percent of almost 16,300 inquiries.

Applications can be submitted until April 30th.
