U.S. President Biden said that by the end of July, it could supply the Corona 19 vaccine, which can inoculate 300 million people.
According to the Associated Press, President Biden visited the National Institutes of Health on the 11th local time and said that in addition to the previously secured 400 million doses, a contract for an additional 200 million doses was completed.
As the contract to purchase an additional 100 million DOS each from Pfizer and Modena was completed, we have secured a total of 600 million DOS by the end of July.
President Biden explained that the deadline for delivery of existing orders has been lifted, and that additional vaccines will be delivered ahead of schedule.
600 million doses is an amount that can fit 300 million people on the basis of two doses per person, and is sufficient to meet 260 million people in the United States excluding children, etc.
If the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, which is currently being reviewed by the US Food and Drug Administration and the FDA, is approved for emergency use, the quantity of vaccines that can be inoculated will increase further.
