An earthquake of magnitude 5.9 occurred at around 10:30 pm local time on the 12th in western Tajikistan, a central Asian country.



According to the US Geological Survey (USGS), the epicenter is located 35km west of Murgov, Tajikistan, and the depth of the epicenter is 91.6km.



The earthquake that day also detected strong vibrations in northern India and across Pakistan, but no human or serious property damage has been reported to date.



Witnesses say light vibrations were also detected in New Delhi, India.



Delhi Prime Minister Arvind Kejiriwal said, "I felt the vibrations from the earthquake in Delhi. I hope everyone is safe," a local broadcaster reported.
