It is a strong enough symbol since for 9 years, this is the first time that the national flag of Mali has been flown in the governorate of the city of Kidal.

The photo

of transitional president Bah N'Daw

also now sits there.

Undoubtedly, the ex-rebels, who are still masters of the city, have made a gesture.

There will be more if everyone plays their score, they say.

During the meeting of the CSA, Monitoring Committee of the Algiers Peace Agreement, the thorny problem of DDR (Disarmament-Demobilization-Reintegration) was also discussed.

The Malian Minister of Reconciliation, Colonel Ismaël Wagué, revealed that currently more than 400 ex-combatants from the northern regions of northern Mali are in training to integrate the reconstituted Malian armed forces when the time comes.

There was also talk of the return of basic social services to Kidal: the city is plunged into darkness, there is no drinking water, there is no health care.

During the meeting, the partners were full of praise for the Malian transitional authorities.

"

There is a new spirit with them

," said the representative of Minusma in Mali and his institution has decided to release a million dollars for drinking water to flow through the taps in Kidal.
