Hamburg / Schwerin (dpa / mv) - Drivers in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania were significantly less likely to be stuck in traffic jams on the state's highways last year.

According to calculations by the ADAC car club, the length of the motorway traffic jams in the northeast was reduced by a third in the Corona year 2020.

Accordingly, a minus of 3000 traffic jam kilometers was counted compared to 2019.

According to ADAC, the clear front runner is the A20 with 5273 kilometers of traffic jams, followed by the A19 (344 kilometers), the A24 (313 kilometers) and the A11 (297 kilometers).

Only a minor ten kilometers of traffic jams were found on the A14.
