On the occasion of a new issue of the program "Vous ont la parole" on France 2 on Thursday evening, Gérald Darmanin will be opposed to Marine le Pen in a highly anticipated political debate.

Etienne Mougeotte publishes his autobiography "Powers", in which he tells the behind the scenes of his 50 years in the media.

Finally from tomorrow Friday on the Salto platform arrives “Clarice”, the eagerly awaited American series which is the sequel to “Silence of the lambs”.

We start the media newspaper, Antoine, with a much-awaited debate tonight on France 2.

Gérald Darmanin facing Marine Le Pen.

It will be on the political program “Vous ont la parole” presented by Léa Salamé and Thomas Sotto.

A debate around the bill against separatism, defended by the Minister of the Interior - he is the guest of the show tonight.

An expected debate, therefore, and - which is not always the case - easy to set up… This is what Louise, the co-editor in chief of the program, Nathalie St Cricq, told you.

"God knows if we pull out a lot of hair to start debates. It is extremely complicated in general. But this debate was quite easy. Firstly because there was no discussion on the side of Gérald Darmanin, it was obvious. I think he was not afraid to debate. They are not all like that. And on the side of Marine le Pen, at first, there are a few month, she had been offered to meet Jean Castex, which she had not wished for. And it was enough to remind her that she found it interesting to debate with the Minister of the Interior during the debate on the law against separatism. So, for once, this is a well-rounded debate. "

The channel promises to give time for this debate (about 40 minutes) and for once, quite early in the show, around 9:30 p.m.

The first half hour will be devoted to the interview with Gérald Darmanin.

On the other hand, there will be no French, from civil society, to ask questions.

“You have the floor”, it's tonight at 9:00 pm on France 2. And on C8, a little later, around 9:20 pm, Cyril Hanouna will receive Jean-Luc Mélenchon in “Balance Ton Post”.

A new schedule for the broadcasting of Ligue 1.

There will now be a match on Saturday at 1 p.m. - this is a first.

The Professional Football League accepted Canal + 's request.

The group, which reclaimed the rights to all League 1 matches until the end of the season, no longer wanted to broadcast a soccer match on Saturdays at 9 p.m. - a slot now reserved for rugby, a Top 14 match. This new device will come into effect in 10 days - February 20.

Saint-Etienne - Reims, at 1 p.m., on Canal + Sport.

Journalist Etienne Mougeotte has just released his autobiography.

“Powers” in the plural.

Fifty years at the heart of the media and an impressive career: we know him above all for his functions as directors of TF1, for 20 years, but he started in the written press, in Paris-Normandy, before working on television and radio , to Europe 1, in particular.

In 1975, he was the news director - he intervened on the air at the time of a robbery with hostage-taking in Paris.

He then explains the position of Europe 1 on the journalistic treatment which is made of this event.

"The information directorate of Europe 1 has taken the decision not to give any details about what is going on in and around this bank. Our reporters are there and they will tell you what happened when all the hostages will be released safe and sound. We hope so in any case. It is our responsibility not to hide anything that we know, but it is also our responsibility not to endanger the lives of the hostages innocent. That is why we have given you this information, and why we will not comment on it until after all the hostages have been released. "

Thank you to the librarians of Europe 1!

Louise, I turn to you.

It is the first time that Etienne Mougeotte confides in a book and there is material.

It is full of quite crisp anecdotes, especially on his 20 years spent at TF1 as number 2 of the channel.

Almost all the animators have the right to their little passage in the book: Nikos Aliagas the “hard worker”, Michel Drucker “obsessed with the link with his audience”, Benjamin Castaldi is “funny and clever”, Vincent Lagaf “uncontrollable” ...

He also recounts the arrival of Jean-Pierre Pernaut on the 1pm newscast or how Koh Lanta almost never got broadcast.

And then, on the Star Academy, the complicated casting of the future winner Jenifer: there is then a debate between two candidates, Pascal Nègre would have finally chosen her as follows: “she sings out of tune but she moves well!”.

But beyond these anecdotes, what is interesting is that through his history, it is ultimately that of the media that he tells, that of politicians as well.

Hence the title of the book: “powers” in the plural.

Regarding the media, he writes: “I belong to the generation which has been at the heart of the incredible development of the audiovisual sector.”

And he lists the following: the modernization of radio, the liberalization of television after 1968, the development of commercial channels with TF1, that of all-information channels with LCI, the challenge of the digitization of the written press, the development of social networks.

50 years of career in one book.

“Pouvoirs”, from Etienne Mougeotte to Calmann Levy editions

Anger and mobilization of many media in Poland.

About fifty - newspapers, radio stations, television channels, websites - did not publish articles or reports yesterday.

They wanted to protest against a plan of the Conservative government: to impose a tax on advertising.

A new tax which, according to them, threatens their very existence - that of independent media.

Only public television, which has become a propaganda organ, did not take part in this action.

An event series arrives on “Salto”.

It's “Clarice”, the long-awaited American series - the sequel to “Silence of the Lambs”;

the action takes place in 1993, a year after the events of the film, with Jodie Foster and Anthony Hopkins.

It will therefore be available on Salto - from tomorrow, 24 hours after its broadcast on CBS, in the United States ... It is the TF1 group which makes it available to the platform, a platform that it publishes with France Télévisions and M6 .

It was he who bought this series for France.

He had announced it here, in Culture Médias, 2 weeks ago.
