Berlin (dpa / bb) - Paramedics and emergency doctors from the Berlin fire brigade move out every minute, primarily to take care of old or injured people.

This is shown by hundreds of tweets that were sent out on Thursday, the day of the European emergency call (11.2. - matching number 112) by the fire brigade under the motto “Twitter storm”.

From 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., all professional fire services in Germany took part in the campaign.

Above all, it became clear which minor injuries and incidents the fire brigade in a large city is dealing with.

Fires were rare, and serious accidents were not the rule either.

Instead, after the snowfall, there were countless reports of falls and injuries to older people.

There was also water damage, burning garbage cans, traffic accidents, snow on roofs, heart attacks, lacerations, vomiting, shortness of breath, hypothermia.

Numerous people had pain in various parts of their body: "Back pain in Charlottenburg, male awaits us", "Young lady has stomach pains in Marienfelde, our strength comes with an ambulance", "Female complains of nosebleeds in Haselhorst" and "Small child fell and slightly injured.
