The Senate enters Wednesday February 10 at the heart of the impeachment trial of Donald Trump from 5 p.m. UT (6 p.m. in Paris), with the details of the charges against the former president, accused of inciting an insurrection.
But the Democrats and Republicans agreed on one point on the first day of Tuesday, February 9: the poor performance of one of Donald Trump's lawyers, Bruce Castor.

is not up to par.
This former Pennsylvania county prosecutor opened the defense argument for Donald Trump.
And at the end of his 48-minute performance, Democrats and Republicans criticized the weakness of his arguments, a confused speech and convoluted turns.
"
He spoke to say nothing,
" says John Cornyn, lawyer and Republican senator from Texas.
A Louisiana senator, Bill Cassidy, even says
he voted with the Democrats to continue the hearings
, faced with the failure of the defense to demonstrate that a trial would be unconstitutional.
According to several American media,
Donald Trump
himself would not be satisfied with the performance of his lawyer.
And additional sacrilege, Bruce Castor described him as "
former president
": he therefore concedes that Donald Trump lost the 2020 election ...
which the latter has never recognized
.
The lawyer, he did not disassemble.
Bruce Castor maintains that the day was "
good
" and that it
will
not "
change anything
" besides during the next hearings.
