Magdeburg (dpa / sa) - Schools, shops and salons have been closed in Germany since mid-December.

Today the federal and state governments are to negotiate the rules for the next few weeks.

In addition to agreements on how to proceed with daycare centers and schools, the opening perspectives of certain economic areas should also be discussed.

Among other things, the hairdressers in Saxony-Anhalt hope to be able to reopen their salons soon - and are placing their hopes on Prime Minister Reiner Haseloff (CDU).

The prime minister said last week that the salons could not be closed forever.

Haseloff will advocate opening perspectives for hairdressers in the negotiations with the Federal Chancellor, the State Chancellery said on Tuesday.

Green party leader Cornelia Lüddemann had announced that she wanted to support an opening under certain conditions, and Economics Minister Armin Willingmann (SPD) was also open to this.

The two chambers of craftsmanship again pushed for prospects for the industry on Tuesday.

In addition to the so-called body-friendly services, the question of school openings for video switching should also be an issue today.

Saxony-Anhalt announced last week that it would gradually restart school operations from March, if the infection rate allows.
