Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) - The weather in Baden-Württemberg remains wintry, with snow and icy temperatures.

At the same time, it can be slippery on the streets on Wednesday, as the German Weather Service (DWD) announced.

Spread over the whole day, 5 to 15 centimeters of fresh snow can fall in parts of Upper Swabia and in the mountains.

The temperatures are also falling.

In the northeast and in the mountains, the DWD expects moderate frost, in the Tauber Land, however, it will be icy cold with temperatures of up to minus 14 degrees.

In the night of Thursday, temperatures can drop further to minus 15 degrees.

Despite the smooth roads, there were initially hardly any accidents on Wednesday morning, as spokesman for the police headquarters announced.

Only in Freiburg there were individual accidents, nobody was injured.
