The German Weather Service (DWD) expects about 10 to 15 centimeters of fresh snow there.
In the Allgäu, up to 20 centimeters of snow can fall in the morning.
In the northern Franconia, however, according to the forecast, it will remain dry and partly loosened up.
The temperatures drop to minus 12 degrees in the northern low mountain range.
In the south of Bavaria, the maximum values are minus 3 to plus 2 degrees.
In the night of Thursday, the DWD warns of iciness and severe frost.
The temperatures drop to minus 8 to minus 17 degrees.
In some places, temperatures as low as minus 20 degrees are possible.
