New form of protest by Russian students against the incarceration of opposition blogger Alexey Navalny: they remove the portraits of Vladimir Putin in classrooms and, in some cases, replace them with those of Navalny. Then pupils post their portrait videos on TikTok and Instagram. The opposition Russian politicians call it "new trend". The Russian telecommunications authority, Roskomnadzor, sent TikTok a request to remove "materials containing appeals to minors to participate in illegal mass protest events".
