Paderborn (dpa / lnw) - Second division soccer club SC Paderborn has to do without Sven Michel in the game at Hannover 96 on Friday.

The striker is back in running training after suffering a torn hamstring in the cup match against Borussia Dortmund, but is not expected to attend team training until next week.

"He is making very good progress and is on the right track," said coach Steffen Baumgart on Wednesday.

After the weather-related failure of the home game against 1. FC Heidenheim on Sunday, the ninth place in the table trained on the artificial turf in the youth training center this week.

"The conditions were very good," said Baumgart.

The expected double-digit minus temperatures present his team with a great challenge on Friday evening.

"We have to deal with the temperatures and accept the conditions," said the SCP coach.

The winter newcomers Nicolas Bürgy and Chadrac Akolo could move into the squad.
