The next part of the vaccination plan is aimed, among other things, at all people over the age of 65.

It is also in this phase that Region Uppsala's eleven vaccination rooms come into the picture.

On March 1, the Region expects to start vaccinating in five of the premises - including the one in Fyrishov (F-Hallen).

The remainder is expected to be up and running the following week.

- As it looks now, we get 5,000 doses that we can distribute in the first week, says Elisabeth Karlsten, personnel manager for the vaccination.

Prio: The flow

The idea is that people should be channeled through the premises in an infection-proof way - into one place and out into another.

- We have worked hard to create a good flow.

This should be a safe environment both for those who come here to be vaccinated and for those who work here, says Emil Westin, external project manager.

A quarter of a million

The region expects to send out summonses next week.

First to be called are those who have turned 90 years old.

After phase 2, it is time for those who are 18-64 years old and are included in the risk group and those who are 60-64 years old.

After that, the common man vaccine is offered.

- We will vaccinate a quarter of a million citizens - preferably before the summer.

I never think we have experienced anything like this, says Elisabeth Karlsten.
