Since the start of the week, it's been a bit of panic on board at Dax hospital in the Landes.

And for good reason.

The establishment was the victim of a violent cyber attack on the night of Monday to Tuesday.

The staff has virtually no IT resources available and this has a strong impact on the functioning of the hospital, explains

Sud Ouest.

The data was not stolen but it is no longer accessible because encrypted specifies the direction.

For the moment, we had to go back to paper.

This leads to great organizational difficulties for radiology services or laboratory analyzes.

In emergencies, the hospital accepts only vital emergencies.

An investigation opened by the prosecution

The situation could last one or more weeks, which worries the caregivers.

Management is working with the National Information Systems Security Agency (Anssi) to find a solution.

An investigation is being carried out by the Bayonne judicial police.

This attack is reminiscent of that of the Rouen University Hospital in 2019.
