Bremen (dpa / lni) - Bremen's head of government Andreas Bovenschulte (SPD) sees the way in which his state is taking the regulations for schools and daycare centers in the corona pandemic confirmed.

The schools in Bremen were never closed, but were given clear restrictions.

"This is now the direction that all countries are taking," said Bovenschulte on Wednesday evening after the federal-state consultations on the corona crisis.

There will be different ways of implementation, possibly 16 different models.

But he hoped that there would be a sensible vote between the education ministers.

Whether and what changes there might be for schools and daycare centers in Bremen should now be discussed intensively in the Senate, the red-green-red coalition and with parents and teachers.

Changes would take effect on February 22 or March 1 at the earliest.

What schools and day-care centers need is calm and reliability, emphasized Bovenschulte.

Should there be new regulations, these should not be quick fixes.

"That is why we will take the necessary time."

Schools are not closed in Bremen, but the compulsory attendance has been lifted.
