Potsdam (dpa / bb) - According to the state government, the vaccine manufacturers have announced the delivery of tens of thousands more doses for Brandenburg by the end of March.

This emerges from an overview of the deliveries from Biontech, Moderna and Astrazeneca, which Health Minister Ursula Nonnemacher (Greens) presented to the state parliament's health committee on Wednesday.

According to the ministry list, almost 199,000 vaccine doses are expected from Biontech from this Thursday (February 11th) to the end of March, 16,800 from Moderna and 88,800 from Astrazeneca. A total of just under 163,000 vaccine doses were therefore delivered by Wednesday (February 10th).

However, Nonnemacher pointed out uncertainties about arranging vaccination appointments.

Moderna lacked precise delivery dates for the vaccination doses.

"You just have to see if they turn out like that," she said.

"We then give first and second appointments, then that is fraught with these uncertainties."

Vaccination in nursing homes continues to have priority.

The Standing Vaccination Commission has only recommended Astrazeneca's vaccine for those under 65.

That is why Nonnemacher plans to use it to vaccinate employees of nursing homes and outpatient care facilities as well as unplanned employees in hospitals and employees in rehab clinics.
