Bayreuth (dpa / lby) - In the process of alleged rape over a shisha bar in Bayreuth, the verdict is expected today (1 p.m.)

The former operator of the bar is accused of forcing a young woman to have anal intercourse.

The media had speculated about a group rape, which, according to the investigators, was not confirmed.

According to the indictment, the 30-year-old met the woman in a club at the end of January 2020 and took her to his apartment above the shisha bar.

There he is said to have passed on the then 22-year-old.

The defendant said the sex was consensual.

According to the prosecutor, three other men who had initially been suspected of being accomplices came into the apartment that night.

In the course of the investigation it turned out that the men were not involved in the alleged act.

The case against her has been dropped.
