It is noted that "registration was carried out within the framework of an emergency use authorization without additional clinical trials on the territory of the state."

On January 29, the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) applied for the registration of the Sputnik V vaccine in the European Union and launched the process of submitting information to the EMA through a gradual examination procedure.

It was also reported that the scientific journal The Lancet published the results of the third phase of clinical trials of the Russian vaccine against coronavirus infection COVID-19 "Sputnik V", confirming its high efficiency.
