Magdeburg (AP) - SC Magdeburg started with a win after the World Cup break.

In the European League, the SCM beat the Turkish representative Besiktas Aygaz with 41:22 (21:11).

The best thrower at SCM was Omar Ingi Magnusson (10/5), Ramazan Döne (9/3) hit the most frequently among the guests.

With the victory, the SCM takes the lead in the standings for the time being.

The game at the second Montpellier HB is on February 16.

The SCM did without runner-up world champion Daniel Pettersson, started focused and took a lead (3: 0/6.).

The guests came up (8: 7/16.), But the SCM picked up the pace and took five goals (12: 7/20).

Even a break by the guests did not change the course of the game and Magdeburg comfortably pulled away until the break.

After the break, SCM initially managed the lead and brought in Tobias Thulin, a new goalkeeper.

But whenever Besiktas tried to shorten, the Bundesliga team turned up.
