Against all expectations, the Victory Alliance opted for novelty.

Théophile Bongoro

obtained nine votes against five for Saleh Kebzabo.

He is a fairly young politician, about fifty years old, a notary by profession.

He founded his party, the Party for Rally and Equity in Chad, in 2018.

Some observers in Ndjamena have expressed their surprise after this appointment, because until then Théophile Bongoro did not seem to have a real influence on the political scene.

Saleh Kebzabo fair play

Now the big question is whether this designation can satisfy everyone in the Chadian opposition.

Saleh Kebzabo, will he accept this decision?

Sources present during the vote told us that he behaved in a very fair play, congratulating his opponent.

Reached by RFI, he declined to comment on this designation.

“

On the political ground, one can never be sure of anything

, confided Mahamat Ahmat Alhabo, of the Party for the freedoms and the development, member of the Alliance.

But

our initiative is unprecedented in Chad

, so it is important that we give it a chance,

”he concluded.
