- I thought he was getting teeth.

He was not as he used to be, says Sandra Öhman who contacted the care.

She called 1177 but did not feel that she was taken seriously.

Melwin's grandmother intervened

Sandra fought for two months to get Melwin to a doctor.

Sandra's mother, Carina Nyberg, says that there was a completely different sound in the bark when she went with her son to Sundsvall's hospital.

- It took an hour.

Then they said that he would be x-rayed in the throat and that was what we wanted all the time.

Then it was discovered that something was stuck in Melwin's throat, she says.

- If any of those we met had listened to Sandra, they would have quickly done an X-ray in the throat and then the battery would have been detected faster, says Carina Nyberg who says that it is the daughter's young year, she is 23, which meant that she was not taken seriously.

Battery was stuck

It turned out to be a AAA battery stuck.

Melwin is still not fully recovered and Sandra wonders what would have happened if she had been listened to from the beginning.

- He still has a hard time swallowing when it took so long without anyone doing anything, she says.

Now the family will report the incident.
