Following China's enforcement of a law permitting the use of weapons by the Maritime Security Action, the Liberal Democratic Party's meeting said that the security environment around Japan was becoming more serious and relaxed the requirements for the use of weapons by the Japan Coast Guard. There was an opinion calling for new legislation.

After enacting the "Marine Security Law" that allows the Maritime Security Action to use weapons on the 1st of this month, China has launched two ships of the China Coast Guard in Okinawa Prefecture for the second consecutive day from the 6th of this month. It invaded Japan's territory off the coast of the Senkaku Islands and showed a move to approach Japanese fishing boats.

In response to this situation, a joint session on diplomacy and defense relations of the Liberal Democratic Party was held, and the members who attended said that "the Chinese side is not allowed to respond at all" and "The Coast Guard Law has many problems under international law. We should proactively disseminate to the international community that it contains. "

In addition, the enforcement of the "Cast Guard Law" has made the security environment around Japan more serious, and there was an opinion calling for a new law to ease the requirements for the use of weapons by the Japan Coast Guard.

The Liberal Democratic Party will gather opinions within the party and request the government to take concrete measures.
