Berlin (dpa) - The Füchse Berlin have made a big step towards the next round in the European League.

On Tuesday, Berlin outclassed the previous group leader IFK Kristianstad in front of empty ranks in Sweden with 36:23 (17:11).

The unbeaten Bundesliga team took over the lead in Group B again. Berlin's best throwers were world champion Lasse Andersson with eight and Valter Chrintz, who scored seven times against his ex-club.

The Foxes missed national player Fabian Wiede, whose girlfriend is expecting her first child and who therefore stayed in Berlin.

The Berliners did not notice the twelve-hour journey odyssey at first.

From the beginning, they took over the direction of the game and were almost always in the lead.

Up to the score of 6: 6, the Swedes kept up well.

But then the mistakes of the hosts piled up, who usually punished the foxes coldly.

The Swedes also increasingly despaired of the Berlin goalkeeper Dejan Milosavljev, who showed some spectacular parades.

The foxes could cope with the fact that they gave a few open litters themselves.

Almost four minutes before the break, the guest advantage increased to six goals for the first time (16:10).

After the break, Kristianstad came up again to four goals (18:22), but the Füchse were unimpressed.

Since the Swedes are now attacking their keeper, the foxes came to easy goals after winning the ball.

Even keeper Milosavljev scored three goals.

The Berliners remained sovereign until the end.
