At the G7 = 7 major countries' finance ministers and central bank governors' meeting held on the 12th of this month, Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Aso will support developing countries whose finances are deteriorating due to the effects of the new corona virus. He expressed his intention to discuss the ideal state of digital currencies such as the "digital yuan" that China is preparing to issue.

The G7 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors' meeting will be held online on the 12th of this month, chaired by the United Kingdom.



Regarding this meeting, Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Aso said at a meeting after the Cabinet meeting on the 9th that G20 = 20 major countries will be deferred from repayment of debt to developing countries whose finances are deteriorating due to the influence of the new coronavirus. He expressed his intention to call for "steadily implement" the framework for providing support such as reduction.



Minister Aso also said, "We have to close the discussion about digital currencies issued by central banks," and how to ensure the transparency and security of digital currencies such as the "digital yuan" that China is preparing to issue. He also expressed his desire to deepen the discussion on whether to do so.



Mr. Yellen of the United States will be the first Treasury Secretary to attend the G7 to explain the large-scale fiscal mobilization of the Biden administration, and it is expected that measures for the recovery of the world economy will be discussed.
