China News Service, February 9th. According to the Canadian "Sing Tao Daily" report, at noon on February 6, local time, a carbon monoxide leak occurred in the East Shopping Mall at 132 South East 3rd Avenue, Chinatown, Calgary, Canada, and dozens of people were evacuated.

The assistant battalion commander of the Calgary Fire Department said that the carbon monoxide content in the building is very high, about 1 in 10,000. If people stay in the leaked area for more than 15 minutes, it is very dangerous.

According to the fire department, about 30 to 40 people were evacuated from the building, but no injuries were reported.

The Calgary public bus assisted in the evacuation at the scene. Dangerous goods staff from the fire department arrived at the scene to investigate to determine the cause of the carbon monoxide leak.

A spokesperson for the fire department said the problem may be related to the heating and ventilation system on the roof.

After 1 p.m., the mall was confirmed to be safe, and the evacuees were allowed to return to the mall.
