Ingolstadt (dpa) - Audi got off to a good start in the new year.
After the strong final quarter of 2020, sales in January increased by 5.7 percent compared to the same month last year, said Hildegard Wortmann, Chief Sales Officer, on Tuesday in Ingolstadt.
In China, sales have increased by more than 35 percent.
There is also a good plus in the USA.
In Europe, on the other hand, the corona lockdown is burdening retail - “the first half of the year will remain difficult”.
Overall, she is cautiously optimistic that 2021 will be a good year in terms of sales, according to Wortmann.
