They did not consider other candidates.
In December 2020, it became known that the ex-mayor of Yekaterinburg, Alexander Vysokinsky, was appointed deputy governor of the Sverdlovsk region.
Earlier, the deputies of the City Duma of Yekaterinburg unanimously accepted the mayor's resignation.
