According to RIA Novosti, this follows from the tenth version of the recommendations of the Ministry of Health on the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of coronavirus infection.

Azithromycin is excluded in the new version of the list.

“The list of possible drugs for the treatment of COVID-19 in adults: Favipiravir, Remdesivir, Hydroxychloroquine, recombinant IFN α, Umifenovir,” the recommendations say.

All of these drugs are contraindicated in pregnant women.

Also, the recommendation notes that antibiotic therapy should be prescribed only if there are significant signs of adding a bacterial infection to the course of the disease.

In addition, the guidelines say that patients who have had a coronavirus infection have an increased risk of developing tuberculosis.
