Jena (dpa) - A special shuttle service has been set up for the employees of the Jena University Hospital so that they can get to their work place despite the weather-related completely shutdown of the regular service - and patient care is ensured.
A city spokesman announced on Monday evening that crew transport vehicles from the professional fire brigade and special trams would be used.
The shuttle service is available on Monday evening, at night and on Tuesday morning.
Due to the weather conditions with heavy snowfall and ice, the Jena local transport had to stop all regular bus and train services in the early hours of the morning on Monday.
A decision for a possible emergency operation on sections from Tuesday will be made during the night on Tuesday, depending on the weather, the company said.
